Horse Purchase Payment Terms

WisCountry Dreams Farm

All monies are non-refundable

For all buyers:

We will accept checks only if the horse is to remain here for at least 14 days...enough time for most checks to clear the bank.  If you want to pay at time of pick-up, it must be in cash.

PayPal is an acceptable avenue of payment, but there will be a service charge that PayPal requires.

We must have a down payment of either $100, or 1/6th of the selling price (whichever is greater), to hold your horse for you.  Without a down payment we cannot guarantee that a particular horse will not be sold to someone else.

Once you have paid down on a horse, it will not be sold to anyone else.  It is, for all practical purposes, your horse.  However, it cannot leave the premises, and you will not receive it's registration (if applicable) until it’s selling price, and any other money due, has been paid in full.
For buyers using our Time Payment Plan:

You must make monthly payments of at least 1/6th of the selling price.  This is due no later than the first of each month (ie: January Time Payment must be paid by January 1st, etc.)  There is an exception to this rule.  If you bought the horse after the 15th of any month, only half of the next month's Time Payment would be due on the 1st, and the other half due by the 15th (for the first month only).

You will be responsible for the following additional expenses:

  • If paid in full and removed from premises within 45 days, there are only the costs of routine worming or vaccinating, and any necessary veterinary care or first aid materials we may have used.

  • If paid in full and removed from premises between 45 days and 5 months, there is a $40 charge per month to cover expenses.

  • If you opt to keep the horse here after 5 months, full monthly board of $125 will be required.

Any/all necessary veterinary care is payable at time of service, as soon as you are notified.

Any/all first aid materials, vaccines, wormers, etc, will be your responsibility, and payable when your statement is received, and no later than the 15th of the following month.

Monthly board will be due no later than the first of the following month (ie: January board must be paid by February 1st, etc.), for up to 5 months.  If  you decide to keep the horse here after that, you will need to sign a boarding contract, and the regular board payments will be due on the 1st of the month that it is for (ie: January board is due January 1st).

If any costs have not been paid within 45 days of the due date (without having made other arrangements with us) the sale contract will be null and void, and the horse will be put back on the market to be sold to someone else.  There will be no refund of any monies paid.
